Looking for opinion

I wish I'd bought a walkie a few years back when I first considered it!!! Anyway, I'm looking to buy one now and was just looking for a bit of advice/opinion on what sort of walkie I might find for around $40k??? And (apart from this forum) where is the best place to look for one? The only ones I seem to be able to find are $50k+ for low kay ones. Cheers.

Hi mate,

Talking from experience, I'd say you should find a good one with approx 130 k's and upwards. As everyone already knows- Prices are on the move!

Hopefully with books requiring a little bit of work- like:
Mechanically- (oil leaks, bushes, lifters, non-working air, etc)
Cosmetically (scratches, stonechips, dull headlamps, parking dents),
Interior- wise (worn bolsters, worn steering wheel, slightly discoloured doortrims etc.)

Good luck with the search

Cheers

Best places to look on the net are Carpoint, car sales and australian muscle cars but you'll have to be quick. Also try your states HSV carclub.Happy hunting.

Also try and get one that is in original condition as that is were they will hold value. If you intend on doing mods there are a few around that are cheaper than original ones and have had a bit spent on them in the form of worked engines etc.Depends what you want.
