meh.. just get a V8..

haha

joking..

my brothers got a 6 speed XR6 Turbo and regardless of how much it weighs it ****ing screams and all its got is a flash tuner.
Have a look around at the weight of most new cars and they will all be right up there, everything is getting heavier.. hell, if holden made the VL today it would probably weigh 1700kgs with all the **** that would go into them.

as rubes (hi rubes!) said, it will be an endless debate and no point arguing..

ofcourse they weigh more man , they have so much more features and creature comforts inside them. not to mention the technology under the bonnet that makes up for its weight

After reading this whole thread i gather that 21 psi is the secrect combo to run a 10.0 in a XR6. Igz your car must have been running 22psi to run that 9sec pass.
Damn i just let the cat out of the bag

the owner of this car is a friend of mine hese a customer of creatd motorsports. This XR has a ****LOAD more behind it, uses a 3spd with transbreak and the transbreak wasnt used for the 10.0.

Without a doubt it will run a good 9sec pass on full song

I saw it pump out 530kw on dyno, and on street its nothing short of insane
it was using the std 5spd on dyno aswell.

What do you mean? Are you forgetting toranas, GTs, monaros and chargers?
Cult = of, for, or attracting a small group of devotees: a cult movie.

The 70s cars are and were much more sought after, the number of people wanting one is much higher than a VL turbo, and... yeah I really dont get why you said that.

My bad dude sorry Yeah the Torries and 70's classics are a cult car aswell but what i was getting to is the 80's era when the VL Turbo was first released it followed on in the 90's and today hope it makes sense

Heres a XR6 Turbo running 8.2 @ 168mph

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru9azvnAi5Q

The XR6 Turbo are becoming popular now. VLGOD the fastest VL Turbo runs 6.99, I wonder if we will see a XR6T run that.

Just wait until the G6E Turbo becomes cheaper, I think they will become like the VL Calais Turbo. Here is one running 10s.
