NVDF6, yours is the only car I really rate in here. Nice and simple, good colour with wheels that show it off. Plus it hammers. Good work.

nvydf6 is nice also dont get me wrong but its isnt the only car thats worth rating in here theres so many nice examples.

I dislike the wheels that were on INFLYT, I dont think they really suit any car.

Other than that, exterior wise it looked like a stocko white XR6. If it were mine I would have made it a real sleeper and that would have appealed to me.

In terms of looks, NVDF6 has it.

Not to take anything away from Igor's car but it ran a big race tune to do the time (or so I heard), and there's lots and lots and lots and lots of cars that would beat it on the street. Don't underestimate the blue lil F6 in question.

fair enough everybody has different opinions i reckon its perfect looking really and the chrome rims set it off.

has nvydf6 layed down a time yet progmh or will it anytime soon nvy if your on.

does it pack a nine second package or something ?

I've only seen the car a few times and dont know much about it, but would have to go mid tens from when I saw it... just on pump fuel. There's lots of quick XR's around these days.

I'm sure the owner can speak for himself though.

Thanks PROGMH

I have only just got the car back on the road and now have a built motor with a nizpro stage 2+ kit still using a standard ZF auto.
The car made 355rwkw on a very soft run in tune still using the stock turbo.

After my next service I will retune the car but as I now only drive the car on weekends it may take a some time.
I will most likely be fitting a T51r to the car at some stage but for now I will see how far the stock turbo can go with this motor & enjoy driving it again.

I'd be happy to see 10s with the standard gearbox & turbo but I havn't been down the quarter before so it might take a bit of practice lol.

Cheers,

Haydn

far out 355rwkw nvydf6 i dont know how that feels in a big heavy car like a ford but it would be flying in a vl.

how much does the nizpro stage two plus kit cost and what do you have boost them to make that much ? is it costly to get this much power from them or relatively cheap ?

Yeh mate it still moves alright for the size of the thing as PROGMH has stated.

Bang for buck the XR6T is pretty good, I spent around 3k to get over 300rwkw. I had around 220rwkw, I fitted a cooler, injectors, cat & a custom tune and that got me to 310rwkw. Then I added an exhaust, fuel pump & ported the wastegate and added a larger flapper valve & a 12psi actuator, that got me easily over 350rwkw @ around 15psi still using the standard crossover, piping & airbox with just a k&n panel filter. I have now added the plenum and airbox and it makes more power on less boost with a weaker tune. Can't wait to give it a decent tune now!

I think for the stage 2 kit by itself it's around $8k new but I have seen a few 2nd hand kits fs for around $4k at the moment.

So you could get the Nizpro stage 2 kit, exhaust, turbo mods plus a custom tune & go from 200rwkw to around 380rwkw for roughly $7k if you have a BF with the ZF auto, otherwise budget in around $3k to build the 4 speed auto if going over 300rwkw and don't expect the same numbers as the ZF gets. Torque is where it's at with these things anyway although top end is still mint.

As for the manuals, I would recommend the 6 speed (T56) only as the 5 speeds (T5) break very easily, also the XR6T clutches slip at anything above stock so add 2k for a clutch straight up even with just a tune, but the F6s use an AP twin plate racing clutch which holds up fine with anything under 400rwkw so i'm told...but the manuals do tend to shatter rear ends easier where the autos only seem to twist tailshafts when stalled hard at the line. Other than that the driveline is pretty good for that sort of power on the street.

There are lots of tuners out there now dedicated to the BA/BF/FG range, so plenty to choose from.

Hope this helps...

No worries mate!

Economy is better than stock, I get 450km to around 60L or roughly around 13l/100km on average & if I drive on the freeway I get around 7L/100km
