My Projected VL berlina

Spec's before the build and what has already been done.

That was before the car was taken off the road,

currently getting
full respray
all rust has been cut out (none bogged over or fibreglassed)
smooth bay and hiden wiring
vt brakes on front and disc rear end with turbo booster and 1" master
clean motor
and a high flow will so be attached

car has been off the road for a year and half now and currently its at the painting stage

cheers Sean, ive been here for a while just havnt used my account lol

must admit it looks much more diffrent
had so many people looking at it when i got it towed home today and tons of people at work were susing it out

starting to slowly piece it together now, in the engine by that is

this weekend ill finish my last panels and next week paint the inside edges
then just fit it up and paint the out side

nah i aint painting it, my mate whos a painter is doing it for free,
he understands if i aint happy with anything he will do it again or if there is something he aint happy with he wont let it rest,

little update,
engine will be going in tommorow night and next weekend the inside edge of the guards, bonnet and nose cone will be painted.
then just need to block it all back and fit it up

update:
drivers door on
boot lid on
turbo and manifold seprated now,
ordered a new heavy duty clutch kit,


manifold is getting pan blasted tommorow so it should come up a treat
gearbox is sat up on my treasel and will be getting some treatment soon
clutch kit will be paid for tommorow
also have the boys down at the autopro chasing up some manifold nuts and spring washers so i can bolt it on.

as the car is now, looks more car like now

nah the panels had to much rust on the inside edges and the nose cone was too twisted so i desided best not to


update:
autopro has the exhaust nuts in but ill have to track some spring washers still so ill pick them up tommorow

clutch kit was paid for yesterday afternoon, i didnt know my sister had already paid. soo that will be comming soon

have a mate of mine whom is a welder at pacemaker pricing me up a exhaust system,
3" pacemaker dump pipe
3" stainless steel with mandrel bends
high flow cat
i should be getting a really good price on this, had one done for my old mans rex (cat back)for $650 instead of $1500 which was the orignal quote

got my exhaust manifold pan blasted today, its down to its raw cast iron colour.
looks shiny

pics will be up later

not overly alot has happened since i last updated

just a few more parts,
got a heavy duty clutch kit
new 3 core radiator
new main radiator pipes and clamps
and got some rubber gromits for the headlight loom holes

also trying to source a wastegate actuator and factory water and oil lines

first coat on backing plates


also fitted a new rear end, irs bishes


mock up as i was bored when i couldnt find the bolts


tail shaft all bolted up


as i left it last night


picking up a vl disc rear hand brake cable today,
new bolts for the calipers mounting and backing plates,
filling the trans with oils
fitting rear brakes and also fitting all the pads

couldnt get the oil into the gearbox as i couldnt get the filler bolt off, needs warming up. so im going to see if i can get my mates oxy set to warm it up a bit

at least it looks complete from the rear:whistling



slowly getting there
plan is to have my last panels edged up on saturday, then fit them all back on for blocking
just have to finish my last guard in the week, aiming for tommorow.

also want to during the week i want to get the brakes filled up blead then
get a disc rear hand brake cable and fit that, brakes will be finished then

bought some things on ebay today

new genuine bonnet rubbers, the adjusters and the guard stoppers
new genuine holden wastegate actuator in the orignal box for $71

primed the guard and nose cone just before, so there ready for rubbing

primer, wet still


saturday the last of the panels will be edged up
inside bonnet, guards and nose cone
so tommorow night and friday ill rub them back for the morning

mate whos painting my car had a blow out with the other painter whoms ment to open the shop up, so its been pushed back a week

my new genuine wastegate actuator arrived today, in the orignal box aswel
